School & District Terms

This page explains how school purchasing works — it is not the agreement itself. The service agreement and data-processing addendum are being finalized with counsel; when you buy, the executed documents control over anything summarized here. Ask us for the current drafts at any point in your evaluation.
When a school or district buys PD That Works — seats for a cohort, an annual plan, a one-time Quarterly Cycle, or a professional-development kit — the purchase is governed by a signed agreement between the school and PD That Works LLC, not by the website terms alone.
What the agreement covers
- Order form — the specific service, number of seats, cohort, term, and fees, and the fact that each renewal is a newly approved order (plans do not silently auto-renew).
- The teacher privacy floor — the school's commitment that it will not seek access to Private Teacher Content, pressure teachers for their credentials or private exports, or retaliate, and the data roles described in our Privacy Notice.
- Data Processing Addendum (DPA) — how we handle personal data on the school's behalf, including student-data protections and FERPA terms where they apply, and a prohibition on selling data, advertising, or training AI models on it.
- No consequential-employment use — private content and AI outputs may not be used for discipline, evaluation, promotion, compensation, or termination decisions.
- Security and incident notice — reasonable safeguards and prompt notice of qualifying security incidents.
