Three Doors, One Standard
Offer three ways to show the same learning—one written, one spoken or recorded, one visual—all graded on the same core rubric. The choice is real because the products genuinely differ. The standard does not move an inch.
Works best when the rubric names the thinking: accuracy, reasoning, and evidence—not the format.
Skip when: the format is the standard. If you are teaching essay structure, everyone writes the essay; put the choice inside it instead.
